I am a natural birthing, breastfeeding, baby wearing, sleep
sharing, non-circumcising mommy and this book helps me do that the
best way I can.The Baby Book my Dr. William Sears and Martha Sears
is my go to book for all kinds of questions. I have referred to it
for anything from newborn procedures, to potty training, to growth
and breastfeeding. This book has it all.One of the reasons I really
like this book is because it coincides with a lot of the beliefs I
have about how to care for my baby. This 28 chapter, 767 page book
is written from a non-biased prospective and points out both sides
of issues and questions I have. But, I like the fact that my
questions regarding parenting from a somewhat non-mainstream point
of view are answered.
An egg donor can be considered when a couple has exhausted
procedures such as in vitro fertilization without success. Egg
donation, or donor embryos, can allow a woman who is infertile to
carry and give birth to a child. What are the conditions that cause
women to seek donor eggs? Many reasons a woman may [...]

One of the most devastating things about infertility is the way it

Since I’m currently on hiatus from the clinic while I recover
from the ectopic pregnancy surgery I’ve been taking care of
other health issues that have been ignored the last couple of
years. I went for a physical, had my teeth cleaned, and today had
an ultrasound on a strange lump I noticed in my [...]
WASHINGTON (MedPage Today) -- The Food and Drug Administration
turned down a request for accelerated approval of Roche-Genentech's
trastuzumab-DM1 for treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer.
Starting Clomid can be an exciting time. It can also be a bit nerve
wracking. Often it's something tried at the beginning of fertility
treatment, which means there's a whole lot of hope along with a
whole lot of questions....Read Full Post

analyzed for: volume and consistently, sperm count, motility,
structure and survivability 3. Testing - including ultrasound and

Looking after a baby 24 hours a day is a tiring and exhausting job.
It challenges a new mom Physically and emotionally. So when you
reach your bed after a long day (sometimes a long night), then you
just want to sleep. Sex does not figure in your priorities very
soon. New mothers feel reluctant [...]
“Paracetamol doubles asthma risk for
teenagers,†reported the Daily Mail. It said that
adolescents who use the painkiller once a year can increase their
risk of asthma by 50% compared with those who do not. This
newspaper story is based on very early research which on its own is
fairly weak evidence for paracetamol increasing the risk of asthma.
The study has a number of limitations and its design can only show
an association between paracetamol and asthma, and not whether
paracetamol caused the asthma. The researchers acknowledge this and
call for further randomised controlled trials, a sensible
conclusion given the preliminary nature of this study.
Where did the story come from? The study was carried
out by researchers from the Medical Research Institute of New
Zealand and other a...
Test-tube fertilization is the reason why more couples than
previously now have the chance to become biological parents.
However, the path to achieving this can be laborious and, for some,
the treatment is unsuccessful. Research from Sweden indicates that
people are more negatively affected than previously reported in
studies of involuntary childlessness.

If one special woman has her way, schoolchildren in Australia will
be learning a lot more than ABCs, and even birds and bees.
Australia’s first in vitro fertilization (IVF)
baby—Candice Elizabeth Reed, now age
30—wants the public school system to add ART to
the curriculum. Not art as in painting, but ART as in assisted
reproductive technologies, including IVF. Nearly 10,000 babies are
now born each year in Australia as a result of ART, accounting for
a little more than 3 percent of all births. Reed wants the
technology explained as part of schools’ health
and personal development curricula, so
“IVF-lings,†as they call
themselves, don’t feel so unusual.

to become worried. Of course, when you are concerned about anything
you feel in pregnancy, contacting [...]
Many exercise programs are too strenuous for people who are
recovering from a back injury — such as a herniated disk or
vertebral compression fracture — and for those whose spine is
susceptible to injury due to conditions like osteoporosis. For
these people, hydrotherapy — exercising in water — is
an excellent alternative. Like other forms of exercise, water
workouts help to increase flexibility, muscle strength, and
cardiovascular fitness. But water exercise has many additional
benefits for people with back problems. Because water is buoyant
