From: Fertility News

Scientists at Austria's Graz University have found what seems to be
the fountain of youth — sperm. Researchers found
that a chemical in sperm may slow the aging process in humans when
used in a pill form. A new study determined that spermidine slows
the aging processes and increases longevity by protecting cells
from damage. When studied in yeast, flies, worms, mice, and human
blood cells, spermidine concentration had been shown to decline
with age. The treated fruit flies lived 30 percent longer than
untreate...

Sperm May Be Harmed By Exposure To BPA

In the past, studies have shown adverse effects of the chemical
Bisphenol A (BPA) on semen in rodents, but now researchers have
found it may be related to decreased sperm quality and sperm
concentration in human males, too. BPA is a common chemical used to
make plastics and resins used in food and beverage cans. BPA has
been shown to mimic the body's own hormones, which may lead to
negative health effects, like infertility. According to the study's
lead author John Meeker, assistant professor of Environmental
Health Sciences at the University of Michigan School of ...

Professional Cyclists Run Risk of Fertility Problems

Not so great news for male professional cyclists: Spanish
researchers recommend avid cyclists and top triathletes consider
freezing their sperm after findings showed sperm
quality drops with rigorous training. As seen in a recent BBC News
story, the study's leader Professor Diana Vaamonde, from University
of Cordoba Medical School in Spain, and her team looked
at 15 triathletes with an average age of 33.
They found those who biked more than 186 miles a week
