Working with women at Boston IVF and Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, researchers found that byAcircnbspeliminating the gonadotropin-stimulated intrauterine insemination cycleAcircnbspalso called FSH-stimulated cycleAcircnbspduring fertility treatment, it actually accelerated achieving pregnancy faster. One group of women underwent a conventional treatment, which included three cycles of intrauterine insemination IUI using clomiphene citrate to stimulate ovulation, followed by three FSH-stimulated cycles, then up to six cycles of in vitro fertilization IVF. The other group only did three clomiphene citrate-stimulated IUI cycles before moving onto IVF.
